  • 15 (ages 15 and up): Realistic portrayals of violence and sex; psychological terror; infrequent acts of strong violence which may be bloody;  strong drug (ab)use (this includes alcohol, smoking, etc); strong sex scenes; glorification of suicide; murder; abuse (verbal and physical; if on screen, it may not be sexual); a pervasive gloomy/threatening mood; issues that clearly belong into the adult world; disasters
  • 18 (adults only): Combinations of sex and violence; sexual violence; bdsm/degrading sex acts; serious acts of violence; violence depicted in a cold and cynical mood; centers around gory  violence/excessive violence; centers around sex (porn);  explicit drug use; hateful ideologically charged narration/characterization
[aka using the Norwegian movie rating system
Please keep in mind that "hetero" or "homo" does not impact the rating.]

The most important differences to the American system that for example FF.net uses is that
  1. language has much less impact on the rating ("coarse" mostly means degrading, offensive, gross or very strong language (language that carries certain attitude that may influence the child's worldview), not necessarily neutral curses - think the difference between "damn" and ethnic/misogynist/etc slurs).
  2. fully consensual sexual content/nudity is permitted to a much higher degree
  3. violence (including verbal and sexual violence) impacts the rating more strongly
  4. there is a difference between nudity that sexualizes/objectifies the person and normal nudity
This can change the rating of a movie from PG to 15 or from NC-17 to 11 when American movies are adapted for the Norwegian market, and thus your fanwork may be rated a bit differently from what you are used to here.

Please keep in mind that the following content is not permitted for this exchange:
  • Pedophilia (children 14 and under in sexual situations).
  • Rape portrayed in a manner that glorifies it.

About

Kira, also known as Narva. Can be contacted at plurk:narwa and aim:janteslaw. 24, European, student of theology, Lutheran. Likes Hetalia, Dark is Rising, various others. RPer. Currently single.

When the Dark comes rising, six shall turn it back;
Three from the circle, three from the track;
Wood, bronze, iron; water, fire, stone;
Five will return, and one go alone.

Iron for the birthday, bronze carried long;
Wood from the burning, stone out of song;
Fire in the candle-ring, water from the thaw;
Six Signs the circle, and the grail gone before.

Fire on the mountain shall find the harp of gold
Played to wake the Sleepers, oldest of the old;
Power from the greenwitch, lost beneath the sea;
All shall find the light at last, silver on the tree.

On the day of the dead, when the year too dies,
Must the youngest open the oldest hills
Through the door of the birds, where the breeze breaks.
There fire shall fly from the raven boy,
And the silver eyes that see the wind,
And the light shall have the harp of gold.

By the pleasant lake the Sleepers lie,
On Cadfan’s Way where the kestrels call;
Though grim from the Grey King shadows fall,
Yet singing the golden harp shall guide
To break their sleep and bid them ride.

When light from the lost land shall return,
Six Sleepers shall ride, six Signs shall burn,
And where the midsummer tree grows tall
By Pendragon’s sword the Dark shall fall.

Y maent yr mynyddoedd yn canu,
ac y mae’r arglwyddes yn dod.
